MultiplayerEdit

Special OpsEdit

Main article: Special Ops

Special Ops makes a return in Modern Warfare 3. There is a new aspect of Special Ops itself, as well as missions, which also return.

Mission ModeEdit

Main article: Mission Mode

This aspect, as seen in the title, is for the missions. This was the basis of Special Ops in Modern Warfare 2. There are new missions, again, which are unlocked by the number of stars a player has. Some are similar to the missions in the previous game (according to the Modern Warfare timeline), while others are completely new. Other missions can be downloaded, but are given for free if the player has a Call of Duty: Elite subscription.

Survival ModeEdit

Main article: Survival Mode

Survival Mode is the new aspect of Special Ops. As the title suggests, the player must survive by themself or with another player, whether online or locally. The enemies will come, but in increasingly difficult waves, similar to the Zombies game mode created by Treyarch, another Call of Duty developer. The player will be able to buy guns, perks, killstreaks, and other things as the game goes on. They will also be able to fight different enemies other than the typical soldier, such as juggernauts, chemical agents, dogs (some strapped with C4), and suicide bombers.
